i wrote this on the next morning very upset, and i got a lot of local d.c. sports columnist who had been acting in a very pravda type fashion. it's been an amazing thing to watch over the last months. i had that column in my quiver for a couple of months. i saw baseball writers from across the country former players, g.m.'s from across the country saying why are the nationals doing this? no one has ever shut down their ace before the playoffs in the history of the game. it's understandable that you want to protect him and not have more than 159 innings why not shut him down in the middle of the year. the team has the best record in baseball destined for the postseason why not have him when it really counts? mike rizzo said nope, we're doing it our way. hehe said, according to u.s.a. today, this is on bulletin boards of major league baseball teams across the country, he said we're going to be in the postseason for years to come, so this year, whatever. the arrogance of that, the braves we're going to kick his butt. >> that's the lesson about the braves. they
